Alice Faye Warren

Alice Faye "Bird" Duraso Beaudion Warren, age 86 of Calvin, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2026. Early in her long marriage to her beloved husband, Wiley, she acquired the nickname "Bird," a name that stuck with her through the years. In fact, many people knew her as Bird without ever knowing that her given name was Alice.

Bird was born to the union of Freeman and Oraline Duraso on February 26, 1940, and later adopted by Jimmie and Clotilde Beaudion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew "Wiley" Warren, Sr., both sets of parents, siblings and grandsons Cole and Justin Sanders, and longtime friend, Doris Leeper.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Andrew "Andy" Warren Jr. (Dawn), Michelle Warren, Alicia Sanders (Mike), Robby Warren, Bobby Warren (Tabitha), and Tammy Hebert (Mike); grandchildren Brooke Warren, Joey Rozelle, Jeremy Rozelle, Nicole Sanders, Cameron Warren, Collin Warren, Carden Warren, Connor Warren, Seth Warren, Coty Warren, Kylie Simmons, Ashley Touchet, Alexis Bilke; great-grandchildren Landon, Jolie, Drake, Nevaeh, Nalani, Kalani, Ilithyia, Braylen, Jesse, Waylon, Colter, and Sariah; nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special smoking porch friends at Autumn Leaves.

Bird had many hobbies and talents. She loved taking care of her plants and watching them flourish. Her drawing and painting skills were some of her talents that she passed on to her children and grandchildren, allowing a piece of her artistic spirit to live on through the generations. She loved singing and listening to music, especially 50's music and Celine Dion.

Bird had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. Her clever, often unexpected sayings became affectionately known as "Birdisms"-little nuggets of wisdom lovingly wrapped in humor, a dash of sass, and occasionally a truth you weren't quite ready to hear!

Her children and grandchildren were among the greatest joys of her life. Whenever they came to visit, her face would light up with a happiness that needed no words to express. She loved them deeply and carried each one in her heart and in her daily prayers. She faithfully lifted them up to the Lord, asking for His guidance, protection, and blessings over their lives. They take comfort in knowing that those prayers have already made a lasting difference and will continue to live on in the lives of those she loved for generations to come.

Friends may visit with the family at Southern Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family before the service Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 10:00 AM until service time. Funeral services will be held at Calvin Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Billy Verhoef and Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Sanders Chapel Cemetery, near Calvin, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

In keeping with Bird's wishes, her children will serve as her pallbearers, a final act of love and honor, lovingly carrying her to her final resting place.

The family would like to thank Autumn Leaves Nursing Home staff. She was blessed to have many loving caregivers and spoke affectionately of her extended family at the home.
