Mrs. Mary Sue (Coleman) Burlew 78 of Jena was received into Heaven on Sunday, November 25, 2012.

She was born to the union of Edgar Allen & Margaret Inez (Allen) Coleman on July 10, 1934 in Jena, La.

Mrs. Burlew was in Real Estate for over 50 years. She loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Hayden David “H.D.” Burlew Jr. and her parents.

Those left to cherish, love and miss her are her daughter, Dana Lynn (Burlew) Sanders & husband, Dr. Kenneth Sanders of Shreveport; two sons, Hayden David Burlew, III & wife Wanda of Jena and Edgar Allen “Eddie” Burlew & wife Lorie of Jena; one sister, Margaret McCartney & husband, Keith of Montgomery Al.; two brothers, Allen Coleman & wife, Athalee of Jena and Jimmy Coleman & wife, Jimmie Ruth of Bossier City; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends at Nolley Memorial Methodist Church of Jena on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Services will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 10:00am at Nolley Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Hixon officiating. Mrs. Burlew will be laid to rest in the Nolly Memorial Cemetery under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

Serving as pallbearers, Dan Enterkin, Mike Hailey, Dane Sanders, Lance Sanders, Dustin Allen, and Brandon Burlew. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Allen, Mac Coleman, and Charles Boyd.
