Mrs. Miriam Kelly Mayes Hatten Norris, age 90 of Sikes, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield

Born Sunday, April 16, 1922 in Columbia, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Mayes and the late Maude Kelley Mayes. She was also preceded in death by her husbands Winson Hatten and Richard Norris, son, Ronnie Dale Hatten, two step-sons, Jimmy and Hershel Hatten, brother, Quinton Mayes, and sister, Louise Pepper.

Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Shirley Hudman; two daughters-in law, Leona Hatten, Faye Hatten, step-daughter Lucille Harbour; beloved puppie, Sassie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, with Rev. Kenneth Tarver officiating.

Interment will follow in Wright Cemetery in Sikes, LA. David Pepper, Jeff Pepper, Kenny Pepper, Gerald Pepper, Jr., Scott Litton, Ben Hudman, Paul David McCarty, and Rudy Godfrey will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2012, at Southern Funeral Home,in Winnfield.
